Delete your Secy account
This page explains how to permanently delete your Secy account from myaisecy, what data is removed, and what is retained for legal or operational reasons.
How to request deletion
- From the email address registered to your Secy account (your primary email, the same one you receive Secy digests at), send a message to support@myaisecy.com.
- Use the subject line Delete my account.
- Include your Secy address (for example,
yourname@myaisecy.com) in the body so we can locate the right account.
- If you would like a copy of your data before deletion, say so in the same email and we will send a machine-readable JSON export before proceeding.
We will acknowledge receipt within 72 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days. In practice it is usually done within a few business days.
What gets deleted
- Your user record, Secy address, display name, primary email, and time zone.
- All calendar events Secy created or imported on your behalf, including events synced from Google Calendar or Apple Calendar through your Secy account.
- Forwarded emails, parsed scheduling instructions, and associated processing history.
- Uploaded attachments and stored email blobs in our object storage.
- Trusted-sender list and pending sender verifications.
- Authentication sessions, refresh tokens, magic-link tokens, and registered mobile push devices.
- Stored model preferences, AI-derived "beliefs" or notes about you, and dismissed-attention records.
What is retained, and why
- Deletion log entry — a record that your account was deleted (without your personal data), retained indefinitely as proof of compliance with deletion requests.
- Security and abuse logs — retained for up to 90 days to investigate fraud, abuse, or service-integrity incidents.
- Aggregated and anonymized metrics — counts and statistics that cannot be re-associated with you may be retained for ongoing service improvement.
- Payment records — where applicable, retained for the period required by tax and financial-reporting law (typically seven years).
Data held by third parties
Data that has been delivered to or processed by third-party services Secy depends on may have separate retention controlled by those providers:
- Google Calendar / Apple Calendar — events Secy pushed to your own Google or Apple calendar remain in those calendars under your control. Deleting your Secy account does not remove them; you can delete them from Google Calendar or Apple Calendar directly.
- AI model providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google) — your forwarded email content was processed by these providers under data-processing agreements that prohibit training on personal content, but their retention is governed by their own policies.
- Email infrastructure — message metadata may remain in mail-server logs for the operational retention period of those providers.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
If you want to remove specific data but keep your account, you can do so without contacting us:
- Delete individual calendar events from the Calendar view in the Secy app.
- Remove trusted senders from Settings to stop accepting future emails from them.
- Dismiss attention items from your home screen.
- Disable Apple Calendar or Google Calendar sync from Settings.
Attachments uploaded to Secy are automatically deleted after twelve months from the upload date.
